A note from the founder... As a little girl growing up, I was fortunate in that I was encouraged
to take all sorts of artful classes including dance, piano, drum and
drama lessons. I came from parents who honored and saw value in the
arts. I was born into a large family-- I have six brothers and sisters--
and while my parents were always very busy, they still managed to make
sure that all of us were involved in the arts. I fondly remember spending quality time with my Dad on Saturday afternoons
in the park. He would bring his sketchbook and tear out a sheet for
me to draw along with him. His interest in architecture inspired him
to sketch the buildings he saw, while I was excited to be playing “artist”
and painting the trees and butterflies around us. The early childhood development years are such important times for children. My goal in opening Smart Space is to provide a place where children can explore their imaginations and be allowed to create and learn in an encouraging environment. I also wanted a place where parents can be inspired by their children, and the artistic instructors, and feel vibrant in this creative and special space. I hope that you will all be able to share in the exploration of your child’s artistic expressions and enjoy your time at Smart Space. Come join us, and discover the “little artist” in your child and in yourself.
