What is Smart Space?

artist educators + young minds + imaginative programs = endless possibilities

 SmART Space provides dynamic classes, artful birthday parties, and amazing enrichment camps for children ages 3 - 12 years!

Our creative programs are taught by specialized artist educators in a supportive and caring environment. Through our offerings, children will develop skills to aid their learning, self-confidence, creativity, coordination, and improve their interactive social skills. And of course, they’ll have a great time along the way!

A note from the founder…

As a little girl growing up, I was fortunate in that I was encouraged to take all sorts of artful classes including dance, piano, drum and drama lessons. I came from parents who honored and saw value in the arts. I was born into a large family– I have six brothers and sisters– and while my parents were always very busy, they still managed to make sure that all of us were involved in the arts.

I fondly remember spending quality time with my Dad on Saturday afternoons in the park. He would bring his sketchbook and tear out a sheet for me to draw along with him. His interest in architecture inspired him to sketch the buildings he saw, while I was excited to be playing “artist” and painting the trees and butterflies around us.

My goal in starting Smart Space is to provide children an opportunity to stretch their imaginations, to play, create and learn in a supportive environment. At SmART Space we often tell children there is “no right or wrong” in art, and “…To Try is to FLY!”  By working in an encouraging environment, children learn that their creations, and ideas are important, and that possibilities in art (and life!) are limitless.
